Isaiah 41:10 says this: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
As you think of the words “Christ” and “cancer”, it might be hard to make sense of them together. If we know who Christ is, namely, a loving and gracious God, it’s hard to imagine Him being in something so wicked and vile. So, as we look at Christ and cancer, we should really be seeking Christ in cancer because He is!
Like every other trial and aspect of your life, the Lord meets you in your cancer. Once you know this, Isaiah 41:10 can feel a lot more true for your life. Cancer or not, here’s the good news: you don’t have to live in fear! He is with you, He is for you, and He will strengthen you. He is your God and He cares for you in this season and every other.
We encourage you this week to challenge yourself to find God in your trials. Seek Him out and invite Him to walk alongside you. He is already there knocking on the door, all you have to do is let Him in.
